About the Coalition for Post Tubal Women (CPTwomen)

The Coalition for Post Tubal Women (CPTwomen) adovcates for womens health rights. We work to educate women and the public of side effects to tubal sterilization and to promote change. Tubal.org acts as portal for all women and groups interested in learning about and working on these issues and is a collective hub and central resourse center and a social networking subscription membership site. Registration is free.

Founding Members/Advocates:

  • Susan Bucher, BSN, RN  Founder of the CPTwomen, creator of www.Tubal.org.
  • Vikki Hufnagel, MD: Notable Doyen Delegate to the CPTwomen. The first MD to come forth and fully expose and document female surgical abuses in the United States was Dr. Vicki Hufnagel, an OBGYN. In the 80’s, Hufnagel defined and reported on post tubal ligation syndrome (PTLS) to peer review medical associations and wrote the first papers describing a need to change the informed consent to inform women about this condition.
